I've thought about doing that too... Do you maybe have any idea of how to install a regular SRAM X9 shifter to the down tube?

I know Brandon and Cam use the bottle mounts on their frames to install a regular Time Trail thumb shifter, but the bike I might be getting doesn't have any bottle mounts...

How's the BigHit holding up?

OK. Shibby. The reason I asked is because I'm maybe getting a full suspension slopestyle/freeride bike soon and I really want to completely optimize the bike for barspins (as much rotations as you want, in any direction). That means that I'll have to ditch the rear derailleur, convert it to a single speed and maybe get a Tr!xter for the two brake cables...
